Our Tinies ballet classes are an introduction to ballet for little ones from the age of 18 months, where they can have the comfort of an adult there beside them. Together you will learn basic ballet movements in a fun and safe environment while encouraging your little dancer to use their imagination through song and dance.

In our Nursery ballet classes we develop the basic ballet movements taught in Tinies classes while encouraging our dancers to become a little more independent. We aim to expand children’s imagination through dance, and allow them to interact with their teacher and other children as they prepare for school.

Grades and Vocational
We follow the Royal Academy of Dance syllabi from Primary to Advanced ballet. Each grade is tailored to ages and children’s development so classes are challenging but also enjoyable. Pupils can choose to sit the RAD exams (which are SQA recognised qualifications) if they wish or just attend classes for fun.

Highland dancing is Scotland’s national dance and famous for the Highland Fling, Sword Dance, Flora McDonald’s Fancy to name a few. We follow the Scottish Official Highland Dancing Association syllabus from beginners to full teachers. There is also the opportunity to take part in competitions and displays. Highland dancing is a fantastic way to keep fit and requires strength, balance, stamina and coordination. Classes start from the age of 3 years.

We follow the ISTD Tap syllabi from Primary – Advance 2, although we do start our Tots Tap classes from the age of 2. Tap is characterised by using the sounds of metal taps as a form of percussion, and teaches the dancer to be both rhythmical and expressive. Whether you decide to sit exams or take classes for exercise, Tap is a fun and exciting style of dance.

Within our Jazz classes we cover both the ISTD syllabus as well as free Jazz exercises for our dancers to learn and explore different styles of Jazz while working on their technique and flexibility, We have Jazz classes available for all ages starting from the age of 3.

Our Acrobatics classes follow the Acrobatic Arts program allowing our dancers to train in the art of AcroDance. The program is based on safe and effective progressions with proven results in five divisions of AcroDance: Flexibility, Strength, Balancing, Limbering and Tumbling. We are also one of the very few Scottish schools certified in the Acrobatic Arts Pre School AcroDance program.
